BETTESHANGER COUNTRY PARK

The park is home to The Kent Mining Museum.  Part of the former colliery, Betteshanger Country Park boasts over 250acres of beautiful surroundings; from woodlands to lakes and panoramic views over the surrounding area. The mining themed playground is a must for families, and the park's on site bar and kitchen offers delicious dining for those wanting to refuel.

Park Activities

The Park has much to offer visitors from self guided walks to bike hire, axe throwing, baby goats and a programme of exciting events and festivals.  For more information please visit Beteshanger Park's website.

The Lamp Room

The Lamp Room serves a range of sandwiches, paninis, wraps and hot light bites alongside delicious cakes provided by The Lane Bakery.  It also offers hot and cold drinks and a small selection of alcoholic beverages.  Seating is available inside and out.

The Lamp Room is open Wednesday-Sunday, bank holidays and seven days a week throughout the school holidays.
