Migrating Miners
Use drama and role play to explore reasons why thousands of miners and their families migrated to Kent, how they travelled and the impact that migration had to the area such as community, traditions and dialect. Make links to how journeys (literal or metaphoric) can broaden horizons, present opportunity and help young people step outside of their comfort zones.
